1. Click on the start button

2. Click on control panel.

3. Click on Power Options

4. Make sure the settings are identical to the image shown here (Turn off hard disks settings as highlighted):

5. Click apply and ok. And close the control panel window.

Vista/Win7 Guide to Stop A Computer from Sleeping?

1. Click on start

2. Click on control panel

3. Click on Hardware and Sound

4. Click on “Change when the computer sleeps”

5. Make sure the settings are identical to the highlighted settings in the image below (Put the computer to sleep settings):
